The whole process starts with you contacting me to discuss what you're interested in having painted.  Email me at info@paintedleatherjackets.com with a picture, a link or a description.

Please bear in mind that each piece I work on is hand painted and that I usually have several commissions waiting in the Order Book.  This means that if you want something for a specific event (gig, birthday, anniversary etc) you should contact me well in advance of the date by which you want the finished work.

I will reply as soon as possible with a quote for the work.  Once I have sent you a quote that is what you pay, even if the work takes longer than I expected.  If you live in the UK then the cost of returning your jacket to you via a signed-for courier servuce is included.  If you live outside the UK then I will provide an estimate from an intenrational courier based on your post code / zipcode and what i think the jacket will weigh.

I can paint your own jacket or waistcoat/vest, or provide you with a new one from a leather wholsaler that I have access to.  If you'd like a new jacket I can send photographs of the available styles

I will then send you an invoice for 50% of the agreed amount, this acts as a deposit and is non-refundable.  I will begin work as soon as possible once I have received your jacket.

Throughout the process I send update photographs and these are also posted on the PLJ facebook page.

Once the work is completed a final photograph will be sent for you to confirm that you are happy with it.  At that point I will send a second invoice for the remainder of the payment.  Failure to pay this will result in me keeping the work. 

Your item will then be sent to you as soon as possible after receipt of the second payment.
